• Why We Give

“St. Andrew's has become so many things for us and our children—from a safe haven, to a place to learn and grow. Most recently it's been a place for our kids to invite friends. Pledging to our faith home each year is a choice we are proud of.”

  • Why We Give

“St. Andrew's has been our church home for nearly 20 years. We love that the church is living out its Mission Statement by giving us Worship which feeds our souls, Acceptance which pleases our hearts and Service which inspires our minds. In our many activities at St. Andrew's, we receive as much or more than we give; so it has been our pleasure to be able to give back in Stewardship.”

  • Why We Give

“We live in Chicago most of the year, but now that we're in Encinitas for a few months at a time, we have declared St. Andrew's our 'home away from home.' We appreciate the kindness and generosity of the parish community in many ways, providing relief for homelessness and addressing income inequality challenges. Within a few visits, we felt so welcomed and inspired that we completed a 2023 pledge form, and we plan to renew our commitment for 2024 soon.”

Fall 2025

This fall we’re celebrating 60 years of ministry at our Balour location. Since the founding of St. Andrew’s in the Leucadia area in 1885, we have been living out our mission statement: “Because hunger comes in many forms, we reveal God’s love by nourishing the community through worship, acceptance, learning and service.”

On All Saints Sunday (Nov. 2), we’ll honor the saints who helped form and grow our parish, as well as celebrate the ways we continue to listen for where God is calling us as a faith family. This is where your financial commitment comes in. Each autumn we map out the coming year, then the Finance Committee creates an operating budget based on continuing our vital ministries (39 at last count).

We ask you to prayerfully consider how you will contribute financially toward the 2026 giving goal of $560K. Your support makes possible the important and holy work we do, including our little ones practicing kindness in Godly Play, our middle schoolers exploring social justice via Holy Troublemakers, our high schoolers humbly serving during their summer trips, and our unhoused neighbors being shown God’s mercy through our outreach services. Of course, our weekly corporate worship provides the foundation for it all.

We thank you in advance for the ways your generosity will keep our parish and our programs healthy and vibrant!.
