St. Andrew's Altar of Remembrance

Picture
You are invited to bring a picture of a loved one who has died and place it in our side chapel during the month of November. Our altar of remembrance recalls that we are the family of God, living and dead, bound together in Christ by sacrament, prayer and praise. When we light a candle and say a prayer, the candle burns on after we have left, saying to all who see its light that a prayer has gone up to God. The chapel's altar hangings will be white to celebrate those who have won life's race and rest in God's arms.

We are the communion of saints. Alleluia!

It is easy to help us create an altar of remembrance:
  1. Bring a picture of your loved one (family member, friend or pet) with your name on the back of the picture starting on October 26 and through the month of November.
  2. Place it on the altar in the side chapel.
  3. Remove the picture on November 26 - the Feast of Christ the King.
If you have questions about the Altar of Remembrance, please contact Pat Moran.
