While we are back to in-person Sunday School, our construction project will keep us out of our classrooms for a while longer. We are now holding relaxed and fun Sunday School classes on the playground in front of our Neighborhood Center. The entrance is through the gate on the Northwest corner of the building. We will still be sending out Sunday School resources via email for those who are not able to attend our in-person sessions. This summer we will be using a lectionary-based curriculum by Illustrated Ministry. It includes ways for parents to discuss one of the Sunday readings at home and coloring pages. Because of licensing requirements, we are not allowed to post it here or in our weekly e-blast. If you would like to receive these materials, please contact Erin O'Brien, Director of Education and she can send them to you by personal email.
In-person Sunday School Resumes
Sunday School restarts June 20th. Drop off your child/ren at the playground at 9:50 then go enjoy worship. We will bring the children to join their family for communion. The younger children will have a Godly play lesson and the older children will join me for a relaxed lesson and some sidewalk chalk prayer.
In order to follow the current guidelines from our Bishop and the County of San Diego the following safety measures will be observed:
All children must wear masks.
Children must use hand sanitizer at arrival and before returning to their families.
3 feet of spacing will be maintained between children of different family groups.
Individual supplies will be provided for each child.
We send out weekly emails that include Sunday School materials (if allowed by the publisher), parent resources, important program information, and other fun stuff. Please subscribe to receive these resources or email our director.
