St. Andrew's Preschool

We provide a developmentally appropriate play-based environment that is both structured and nurturing with center-based activities. We believe it is important to acknowledge the growth of the whole child while cultivating the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive facets of development.

We offer a very low 6-to-1, child-to-staff ratio in team-taught classrooms. Over half of our staff has taught here since we opened in 1989. The director has a B.A. in Child Development and an M.A. in Educational Psychology with specializations in Early Childhood and Counseling/Guidance. All teachers have certification in preschool education and several have B.A. and M.A. degrees.

Our staff members are passionate about acknowledging individual characteristics and celebrating differences. We create a joyful environment while we prepare children to move into kindergarten and beyond with confidence and a positive self-concept.

We are a half-day program with extended Lunch Bunch opportunities. Our hours are as follows: 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Morning Session     9:00 AM -12:30 PM
Tuesday, Thursday Morning Session                       9:00 AM -12:30 PM

Optional Lunch Bunch
Monday - Wednesday 12:30 - 1:30 PM        Tuesday 12:30 - 1:30 PM

St. Andrew’s Preschool is a nonprofit organization sponsored by the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew’s the Apostle.  The preschool is licensed by the Department of Social Service, Community Care Licensing Division, License #372006085, and has been in operation since 1989.
