Give to the Community Breakfast

Community Breakfast

For over 14 years, we have provided a hot meal to anyone who stops by the parish hall on community meal day (They were once held on Fridays for lunch and are now held Saturdays for brunch). Each week, volunteers meet at St. Andrew’s to prepare and serve between 80 and 100 guests. The doors open at 10:00 a.m. The food is excellent and the service is friendly. Guests may also wish to participate in our bi-weekly Showers of Blessings, held the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9 am-12 pm.

We received this note from one of our regular clients, with a package of cups:
Dear Everybody at Saint Andrew's Church Luncheon on Fridays,

Thank you so much for your love and service- and wonderful, delicious, nutritious food!
You all provide each and every one of us with the atmosphere of hope, which to me is the greatest gift of all.
Plus, I absolutely love the HOME-MADE food, AND being served with such.....like we are dignified people, and good and worthy, and respectable people.  That is how you all make me feel
Then I get to sit with nice folks at a nice, clean table, and slowly eat my meal, with always some to take home.  Because there is so much.
Here are a few cups from the 99¢ Store.
Love, S.
If you'd like to come help one Saturday, or have donations of food that may be of use, please contact us.
